SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Saturday the 9th of April we took 41 competitors to the Scottish Taekwon-Do Championships at Ravenscraig.

We had competitors ranging in age from as young as 6 to to 41 years old, all putting in excellent performances. Our amazing medal haul was 9 Gold, 6 Silver and 11 Bronze medals. This was a fantastic result and put us in the lead for the Paddy Timoney Memorial Shield - a fantastic honour.

Our team gained fantastic experience and learned a lot to help them develop for future competitions.

Medal winners for sparring were: Gold – Vitali Burlakov, Sophia Harnes, Isla Hay, Alana Moody. Silver – Lauren Connor, Harry McNulty. Bronze – Nicole Connor, Rachel Steven, Niamh Anderson, Leechan Graham, Reece Main, Ethan Gilbride, Rhys Moody.

Medal winners for patterns were: Gold – Rachel Steven, Vitali Burlakov, Lauren Connor, Alana Moody. Silver – Laura Dolan, Robert Campbell, Peter Burlakov. Bronze – Nicole Connor, Nicole McGowan, Isla Hay.
